JACK WEST
Jack West is an expressive performing artist and choreographer, hailing from Oakville, Ontario. His dance training began when he was 10 years old at Live To Dance Academy, where Jack learned Ballet, Jazz, Tap, techniques and studied Contemporary, Lyrical and Hip hop styles.
Jack's passion for his craft is evident in his dedication to refining his technique, and constant pursuit of expanding his movement repertoire. Jack has attended international workshops and competitions and applies the experiences into his classes and choreography. Jack has had the privilege of working with Stacey Tookey, Akira Uchida, Kirsten Russell and many other distinguished choreographers.
Through Jack’s dance career he has earned many titles and awards such as Senior Mr. Candance, Top 17 senior male at The Dance Awards, and 4th place Adult Male Jazz soloist at. Judges and choreographers call out his musicality and expression as key components of his success.
Jack’s love for dance has naturally evolved into choreographic pursuits. His choreography has been showcased in Slovenia at the International Dance Organization World Championship , at the Dance Awards in Las Vegas and Orlando, and regional and provincial competitions in Canada. At these competitions Jack’s choreography has been selected for multiple Choreographers awards.
